September 7 Birthday

Well, little adorable Teelin made his grand entrance on September 7, which happens to be Aunt Nancy's Birthday and Evan's Birthday! We celebrated Evan's on the 6th of September with Kate, Scott, Louisa, Jill and Kevin. We also were celebrating it with Seth, Taryn, Ethan and Elsy when I received the call to come to Cornish because the baby was on his way. They had cake without me, and I do not think anyone took a picture.  Here are some shots of Evan the birthday boy at a celebration and enjoying a birthday present!

Birthday Feast at Wild Willy's Burgers-Right Meal-Wrong Utensil!!

The complete meal- (NO, Evan did not eat all of this!!)
Evan's birthday gift from me-a new dinghy that he has named 'One Ringy' - ( Did you get it? One Ringy Dingy?!?!) Anyway, in this shot he is reading the directions, trying to figure out how it works!
Well, he figured it out and took it for a ride!  Happy Birthday, Darling!

Being A Grandmother Means...

Holding and Falling in Love with a new precious Baby...
Cooking French Toast for breakfast in a new and interesting manner...
Watching them enjoy the fruits of their hard labor...
Watching a child of yours help their children welcome a new baby home, sharing and teaching the gift of giving...
Seeing generations grow and come to know each other...
How Wonderful. Many people spoke of the joy and the love grandparents feel, but just like so many other things in life, it is so different when one actually experiences it. Thank you to my children for giving the gift of Grandparenthood.

Family Pictures of Teelin and Silliness

It certainly has been interesting the last few days. Teelin's birth was almost a week early, and even though we had all prepared, we were still taken by surprise. He came home today. Kate and Louisa left for home themselves after staying in Cornish getting the house ready for the new baby's arrival.  I am staying for a few more days. Most everything had been done, but we made sure laundry and cleaning were were up to snuff, and the refrigerator was stocked. Right now Monet, Teelin and their parents are all sleeping and quiet. We shall wait and see what the night has in store for us all.
Three generations.
Louisa can be a picky eater, but for some reason , when Kevin stopped in Cornish after his visit to the new baby in the hospital , she went crazy for the Japanese soba noodles he brought with him. Kate, Monet, Kevin and I did not find them to our liking, but Louisa loved them!! Or maybe it was just silly Uncle Kevin she liked!
Nothing like slurping those big fat noodles down!(Where was her shirt?)
Monet did not like the noodles, but faked eating one for a laugh from Kevin and Louisa.
A relaxed group in the hospital-Kate, where did you get that hat?!?!?!? I think Monet has one just like it!
