Another Gray Day

Sunshine continues to be a rare commodity in NH right now. Scott hosted a two day water ski clinic with a pro skier on the pond today and yesterday, , and the participants probably did not mind falling because they were already very wet.
Kate put CeCe and Cabbie and Jingles in the front pasture today, and when she led them back to barn , they were rather frisky! They do not like being separated. Farm animals are a normal part of this landscape. Kate and I ran into each  other, and then Becky rule in the grocery store yesterday. She is a local humorist and author, and somehow our conversation with her turned to the differences in different farm critters'  manure! It was an interesting and hilarious talk, and she walked down the the baking supplies aisle after saying good bye, laughing and planning on writing a column on Manure! Cannot wait to read it.
Am posting beach pictures as a contrast to yesterday's snowy one.

Lots of hot people under multicolored umbrellas.
I love all the umbrellas' patterns.
Evan with his ever present Iphone in our little motel unit across the street from the ocean.
A towel drying after a chilly dip in the sea, which is not that far away. I loved going down the street a few steps, in the early morning mist, and getting an egg sandwich on a croissant egg sandwich, washed down with an aromatic and delicious cup of hot, creamy French vanilla coffee. YUMMY Really oved being with all the family, too.

More pictures!

Still trying to adapt to the Macbook blog system. It is fun, but frustrating at times. Today has been rainy-what a surprise! At least there have not been crashes of thunder and bolts of lightning Of course the silence has to be broken with something, and tonight it was the new neighbors across the street firing some kind of loud gun. I wonder what direction he or she is shooting the gun-there are houses in close proximity on three sides!! The neighbor to the north has a friend who flies a helicopter like it is a hot rod of the sky, zooming in closely over our house and fields as he approaches and leaves the neighbor's yard after hovering there for a while. It is particularly scary at night with the flashing lights accompanying the whirring of the rotors. I thought we lived in a quiet rural area!!
A snowy day last winter. We should be glad all this rain is just rain!!
This is the cake Welch gave to Kevin with a surprise in celebration for his wedding. It was not just pretty, but tasted good too! I do not think his bride tasted any, but she shared in the gift certificate that accompanied the cake.
